Srinagar records season's coldest night at minus 2.1 degree Celsius
Night temperatures dropped further throughout Kashmir on Friday as Srinagar recorded its coldest night of this season so far at minus 1.2 degrees Celsius.

SRINAGAR: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, and many other parts of Kashmir recorded the season’s coldest night so far, reeling under sub-zero night temperatures.
According to the officials, the night temperature in Srinagar settled at minus 2.1 degrees Celsius — 1.5 degrees down from the previous night’s minus 0.6 degree Celsius — which was the lowest of the season so far.
Shopian was, however, the coldest place in Kashmir where the mercury plummeted and settled at minus 5.5 degrees Celsius.
The Met department said the weather would likely stay generally dry until Friday evening, after which there is a possibility of light rain or snow at isolated places in the higher reaches till Dec 1.
